Terms & Conditions

Every guest, including non-rowing companions, signs their own Guest Agreement. Your booking is confirmed when we receive your signed Guest Agreement and your Booking Confirmation payment. You must be 18 or older. Guests under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign their Guest Agreement and must be accompanied throughout the experience by a responsible adult named in that agreement — a family member or a club representative. We may verify your rowing experience. Rowers must be able to swim at least 200 yards.

Prices are per person and depend on the experience, destination, season, and room occupancy. Your price is guaranteed once your Booking Confirmation payment is received.

Your payment schedule depends on when you book:

Your tier is set by the date you sign and does not change if you later move your dates.

We accept ACH, wire transfer, and credit card. Credit card payments carry a 3% processing fee. Paying on time is your responsibility; we do not send payment reminders. If a scheduled payment is not received by its due date, RowCroatia may cancel your booking and retain all payments made to date.

You may cancel at any time, for any reason, by emailing info@rowcroatia.org. Cancellation takes effect when we receive it.

• Within your refund window: full refund of all payments made, including any Waiver fee, within 10 business days.
• After your refund window: all payments made are retained, unless you purchased the Experience Protection Waiver.
• No refunds for no-shows, late arrival, early departure, or missed activities.

Substitution: up to 30 days before departure you may transfer your place to another qualified guest who signs their own Guest Agreement, for a USD 150 change fee. The Waiver does not transfer.

Shared rooms: if you cancel and your roommate is left alone, you pay the difference between double and single occupancy for their stay, unless we find a replacement roommate.

The Experience Protection Waiver costs 8% of your Experience Price and must be purchased when you sign. If you cancel before departure, after your refund window, for any reason, your non-refundable payments are converted to RowCroatia credit. Credit is valid for 24 months, may be used for any RowCroatia experience, may be transferred once to an immediate family member, and has no cash value. No cash refunds are made under the Waiver.

The Waiver is not insurance. It is offered directly by RowCroatia, is not underwritten by an insurer, and does not cover medical costs, evacuation, trip interruption, baggage, flights, or any cost outside your booking.

We recommend comprehensive travel insurance, including medical and evacuation cover. It is not required, and choosing suitable cover is your responsibility. RowCroatia does not sell insurance or receive commission from any insurer.

We may make minor changes to venues, session times, coaches, hotels of equal or higher standard, or itinerary order for weather, water conditions, safety, or supplier reasons. If we must significantly change a core element before departure, you may accept the change, move to another departure, or cancel for a full refund.

Low enrollment: we may cancel a departure no later than 60 days before departure. You choose a full cash refund within 14 days or a RowCroatia credit of 110% of payments made.

Force Majeure (events beyond our reasonable control, such as war, epidemic, government travel restrictions, natural disaster, or extreme weather): if we cancel before departure, you choose a cash refund of payments made less unrecoverable supplier costs, which we document on request, or a RowCroatia credit for 100% of payments made. Mandatory consumer law in your country of residence applies where it gives you greater rights.

We are not liable for flights, visas, equipment, or other costs you incur outside your booking.

You must disclose relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, and dietary needs in your Guest Questionnaire. Rowing and travel carry inherent risks. Every guest must sign our Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk before participating, and must follow the safety instructions of RowCroatia staff, coaches, and boat operators. We may remove a guest whose conduct endangers safety or seriously disrupts the group, without refund.

We may photograph and film during experiences and use this material in our marketing. You may opt out in your Guest Agreement. If you opt out, we will not use identifiable images of you in marketing, and we will not be able to share any experience photos or video with you, including group footage. Photos and video are not part of the Experience Price; any we share are a courtesy.

A club, organizer, or other person may pay for your place. Your Guest Agreement remains between you and RowCroatia. Refunds go to whoever paid unless agreed otherwise in writing.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be heard in the courts of Orange County, California, except where mandatory consumer law of your country of residence gives you other rights.
